A Little About Myself
About Myself
Hi my name is Brian Coones and I am a professional mind and body coach specializing in traditional Thai yoga massage therapy, yoga, Tantra, AcroYoga. I am a disabled US Army Combat veteran. My experiences and injuries while serving in the military sent me on a healing journey of self love and discovery which brought me to my passions of healing and inspiring others.
After serving in Iraq; being physically, mentally and emotionally injured (fractured spine and PTSD) I became very disconnected from myself and everyone around me. Leading to severe depression and anxiety completely shut off I sought to heal and flung yoga. My journey into yogic and tantric practices helped me to heal, to connect to myself and others in beautiful ways. I have over 2000hrs or education and training and over 10000hrs of experience in 23 countries teaching, guiding, connectioning and inspiring others.
Human connection is one of the most important things that we need in our life. The lack of vulnerability and connection causes many issues increasing stress, depression, anxiety and negative emotions. Trauma, fear and past negative experiences teach us to always be on guard keeping the walls up and connections to a minimum. We are taught to fear authentic connection and vulnerability. Establishing safe practices to allow yourself to connect and be vulnerable will help to heal physically, mentally and emotionally. Something as simple as holding and/or being held by another person can be very scary especially if it is something that has been lacking in our life or if we have had a traumatic experience.
I used to hate other people touching or holding me because I was not connected and did not allow myself to be vulnerable and receive love or compassion. I was lacking human connection and learned that it is so important. These beautiful practices have changed my life and now I teach and share them with others to help change and inspire, to help heal and grow.
Allow me come come and hold space for you as we breathe and connect.
