I am a mother of four, which has offered me ample opportunity to observe the psychological and physiological effects touch has on us as humans and our capacities and abilities on a day to day basis. I've often found, that closeness in physical proximity (cuddling, holding hands, high fives, fist bumps, and other simple forms of platonic non verbal communication) have a significant and measured effect on a person. This is especially true during the formative years , however it is rarely gets address as we age. The more rare the occasion, the increased impact lack of touch has on our ability to cope and react or respond to the world around us. There are few things that offer me the sense of fulfillment as being able to offer someone the feeling of security, appreciation, being not only heard, but validated.
My passions include cooking and reading. I do also enjoy a wide variety of activities, both indoor an out, including hiking , swimming, walking, painting, rummy, board games, movies and music.
I enjoy learning about most topics and welcome the opportunity personal growth.
